We started as a small Church in 1946, with one service but soon added a second service, and classrooms and a youth program. After our continuing growth, we built a new church, just a short distance from the old one to continue to support the area of the twin cities and beyond!
Our vision as a church, our purpose, is to call all people to be fully devoted followers of Christ. A calling implies both introduction and continued encouragement to live a life of full devotion to Jesus Christ. Our purpose as the local body of Christ is to reach all! We also exist to encourage, equip, serve and sustain those already devoted to Christ.
Is to continue to grow and meet the needs of our members and their children and the surrounding area. In Obedience to our Lord's Great Commission, we believe that our priority is to share the good news of Jesus Christ with as many people as possible in our community and throughout the world.
South Fulton Baptist Church maintains a rich history while striving to look to the future. Since 1946, South Fulton Baptist has had a vision to reach and influence our surrounding community with the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Our Campus is conveniently located for the Twin Cities of South Fulton, Tennessee and Fulton, Kentucky. This location enhances our ability as we seek to minister to the surrounding communities. We as a church that offers our members the opportunity to support the Southern Baptist Convention, the Cooperative Program, the Tennessee Baptist Convention and the Beulah Baptist Association.
Dr. Ron Cox is the pastor of South Fulton Baptist Church. He has served there since 1998. He received his Master of Divinity and Doctorate of Ministry from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Cox is married to his wife Janette and has four children: Brittany, Chelsea, Ronny and Anthony
Dr. Dean Doster has been with SFBC since 2015 and is our Associate Pastor of Outreach and Evangelism and is reaching out to the community to share the saving truth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and fulfilling the Great Commission. Dr. Dean and his wife Deanie are committed to fulfilling the responsibility of the Great Commission.
Patrick our Student Ministry Pastor graduated from Union University and has been involved in student and missions ministry since 1995. He has ministered in : Costa Rica, Brazil, Israel, Wales, England, Haiti, and even Ohio.
